Shorter trips designed to take you into the Hong Kong Global Geopark
This is an easy and very interesting eco-tour exploring 2 inner islands of Port Shelter, Yin Tim Tsai & Sharp Island.
Our journey features visiting the ancient island of Yin Tim Sai to explore the mangrove systems, swimming in the crystal clear waters of Rocky Harbour and circumnavigating Hong Kong’s smallest country park.
Sharp Island is Hong Kong’s smallest Country Park and is only 1.5 kms from Sai Kung.
This half-day eco-tour is suited to absolute beginners and families. We use sit-on-top kayaks that do not require any skills or previous experience.
After a short paddle to the island we stop at the famous tombolo for a photo break. If the day is warm we can stop for a short swim at one of the local beaches.
3 Fathoms Cove is a serene and rarely visited part of Hong Kong history.
We take it easy, paddling to the end of the cove via the local fish farms where we explore the ancient Hakka village of Sham Chung, This is a beautiful bay overlooked by the majestic Ma On Shan mountain peak.
The Tolo Channel is a beautiful, historically significant yet barely known part of the Hong Kong Global Geopark. As such, we usually have the ocean to ourselves.
We visit deserted shell atolls, unique geological features of the geopark and ancient Hakka villages. If the day is warm, take a swim in the crystal clear waters to stretch your legs.
If you are looking for an adventure in Hong Kong over the Easter holiday break, try sea kayaking in the amazing Double Haven Lagoon.
