SAI KUNG TO PAK A

1 DAY SEA KAYAK JOURNEY

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a one way journey that starts at our kayak base in Sha Ha Rd, Sai Kung and finishes at a remote camping area and protected village called Tung A in the Sai Kung East Country Park.

This trip explores both the inner and outer islands of Shelter Bay in the UNESCO Global Geopark. Depending on the weather you will snorkel over coral reefs, visit deserted beaches, paddle around culturally significant islands and geologically spectacular coastal features (sea arches, tunnels, caves etc).

The kayak route between the islands to Tung A (approx 13 kms) will be determined by the wind and tidal currents on the day. Your guide will select it to match the skills and experience of the paddlers with the conditions at the time.

We will be using stable and fast double sea kayaks, but a moderate level of fitness is required.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

SAI KUNG TO TUNG A

We use double sea kayaks unless otherwise requested (single kayaks only for experienced paddlers). Doubles are faster and more stable making it easier for people to do the distances required per day.
This also includes sprayskirts, paddles & spare paddles, bouyancy vests, paddle floats, pumps and other safety equipment.

Our guides are seasoned professionals with international qualifications. Not only are they familiar with the regions in which they paddle, they are also fully trained in sea kayak rescues, first aid and emergency procedures.

We have waterproof cameras and will be taking photographs throughout the entire trip, which will be made freely available at the end.

This means that you will not need to risk your prescious equipment if it is not waterproof.

We provide a hearty picnic lunch and water refils.
We cater for vegetarians and non- vegetarians, but if you have specific requirements due to allergies, religious or cultural reasons, please let us know and we will do our best to please.
