iTHE UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK - a true SEA KAYAK JOURNEY
PAK LAP WAN to SAI KUNG - one way
This is a one way journey starts by taking a speedboat ride from Sai Kung to the outer islands of the UNESCO Global Geopark. After 30 minutes, we arrive at a remote camping area and protected bay called Pak Lap Wan. Now the challenge is to paddle our sea kayaks back to where we started from!
The route between the inner islands will be determined by the wind and tidal currents on the day. Your guide will select it based on the skills and experience of the paddlers to suit the conditions at the time.
This trip explores both the inner and outer islands of Shelter Bay in the UNESCO Global Geopark. Depending on the weather you will snorkel over coral reefs, visit deserted beaches, paddle around culturally significant islands and geologically spectacular coastal features (sea arches, tunnels, caves etc).
This is a strenuous trip so only people who have paddled a sea kayak before should attempt it.

Detail about the sea-kayak tour

We use double sea kayaks unless otherwise requested (single kayaks only for experienced paddlers). Doubles are faster and more stable making it easier for people to do the distances required per day.
This includes sprayskirts, paddles & spare paddles, bouyancy vests, paddle floats, pumps etc.
Our guides are seasoned professionals with international qualifications. Not only are they familiar with the regions in which they paddle, they are also fully trained in sea kayak rescues, first aid and emergency procedures.
We provide a picnic lunch during the trip as well as fruit snacks and drinking water.
We will be taking photos all the trip which will be freely available for download after the tour is over.
